Which dog breed is right for me?
Hi, I’ve been wondering what dog Breed(s) would be best for me so I’ll tell you a little about my life.
Wants- Nice,good with children,little grooming-I don’t want to go to a professional to groom my dog,Healthy,long or short lifespan,not very protective,does well with cats,doesn’t bark a lot,a dog that will go on long walks( 1 hour or more ), Outdoor dog,good in all weather, A small or medium dog but not toy or mini or large.
I’ll have a pen for my dog to sleep in, not a huge one though.I’ll take my dog on long walks.
Please tell me about your dog and his/her behavior and about grooming,health, etc. or about the breed your recommending.

I have a small white dog, he is a Westie Terrier mix. He is probably one of the most lovable dogs we’ve owned. Great with children, great with everyone, walks well on leash, potty trained quickly. He also has fur that is very manageable. We brush him every few days and get him groomed only every few months. He has almost no shedding. He does have a lot of energy. We have 3 cats and he plays with them ALL the time.

Next to him is our other dog who is a Cocker Spaniel. We have had 2 of them from when they were puppies and they were also great family dogs. They are more laid back than Westie’s but still like to play and are very loyal. They also shed more and their breed tends to have quite a few health problems, one of our main problems was their ear infections.
