A satisfying method to cherish forever the stages of your pregnancy is to make belly molds for fetal growth. Tummy molds arecreated from plaster and gauze bands into a mold duplicating the form of the pregnant belly at a specific stage, or more than one stage, during the course of growth.

The prime time to do the stomach molds for fetal growth is in the seventh and ninth months of pregnancy where the fetal growth is at its highest stage, but you could make belly molds for fetal development at most stage during your pregnancy.

Stomach casts are shaped by putting Vaseline over the area of stomach that you desire in the mold. Few women decide to mold their torso, arms, palms, and/or thighs also for a increased enriching experience. After putting the Vaseline, or a similar lubricant, you must submerge pre-fabricated plaster strips of gauze, one at a time, in tepid water. After this, you place the gauze bands on any area that has been lubricated.

When the tummy mold for fetal development has been in place for around half hour, you must take it off it by gently moving the cast to free it up and ask a friend take it off and place it somewhere to set completely over the next 24 to forty-eight hours.

When it is ready you should put some Gesso to the belly cast. Gesso may be applied as a primer for paint for the stomach molds for fetal development. Gesso is a pulverized type of the mineral calcium-carbonate which is commonly used for art, and is safe to use. You can color it, put motifs on it, or let it as it is; use your imagination and you can have a cherished piece of art for decades to come.

All plaster is safe for the skin but you will want to do any painting and decorating to the tummy mold after it has been taken off from your belly so that no unsafe constituents from paints or dyes can run through the skin resulting in allergies to the mother or the baby.

Tummy molds for fetal growth are also known as belly casts, or belly casts for expecting mothers. You can find many online sites you can purchase a belly cast from or you can create a personal stomach cast using a few simple ingredients and supplies. Whether you buy a tummy cast or decide to make your own, ensure you have a helper and a comfortable place to sit as it can take some time.
